Rapid and cost-effective development of new functional materials is crucial for innovation and economic competitiveness. However, classical simulation methods frequently fall short due to the strongly correlated nature of the involved electrons. In this presentation, we outline a pathway to leverage quantum computing on NISQ devices to address this challenge. We will showcase initial results from a materials simulation workflow developed at Bosch and validated on the IBM Quantum System.
