The second application call for the Internship Program will start soon!
The Max Planck Society recognizes the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. For this reason the Presidential Commission on Opportunities of the Max Planck Society funds a total of 13 projects which address the topics of inclusive leadership, external review of organizational processes, and programs for the promotion of scientific talent from the global South.
One of these commendable 13 projects is the COndensed Matter Internship Program @ Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research (COMP@SS). The primary objective of this program is to give talented undergraduate students with a background in condensed matter science from the global South the opportunity to conduct scientific projects at our world renowned research institute.
The program is designed to foster inclusion, diversity, equity and access to excellent scientific facilities. We will give preference to applications submitted by students living in least-income countries which are currently underrepresented in our research community.
The Stuttgart Campus - Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research and University of Stuttgart - hosts an extraordinary array of research groups with a wide spectrum of expertise in fundamental condensed matter science.
During the internship, students will work on research projects under the supervision of experienced scientists. In addition to gaining work experience, interns will have the chance to connect with other researchers on campus.
