Japanese German Symposium on Frontiers in Future Materials Design
- Start: Jul 3, 2025
- End: Jul 5, 2025
- Location: Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research
- Room: Lecture Hall 2D5
- Host: Dep. Nanochemistry
The Japanese–German Symposium on Frontiers in Future Materials Design will be held at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (MPI-FKF) between July 3rd and July 5th. The 2-day meeting will be hosted by the MPI-FKF and take place within the framework of the PRESTO project of the Japan Science and Technology Agency.
The meeting aims to bring together leading researchers and rising stars in materials research, with a focus on exploring new frontiers in materials design, synthesis and characterization across chemistry, physics, and materials science. By connecting scientists from Japan and Europe, we hope to spark fresh ideas, explore new directions in materials research, and foster collaborations between scientists existed about pushing the frontiers of materials research across the globe.
Over the course of the meeting, 22 invited oral presentations will be featured, followed by engaging discussions and complemented by ample networking opportunities.
Registration opens on May 15th and is free of charge. Everyone is welcome!
The PRESTO project of the Japan Science and Technology Agency promotes unique, internationally high-level basic research to address the important problems and to produce creative, conspicuous, and innovative technology seeds based on new scientific knowledge. It’s strategic object is to open up the unexplored exploration space of materials with multi-element, composite, and metastable phases based on elements strategy.
