Spectroscopy at the Quantum Limit
 

The research in our group is focused on exploring new quantum limits at the atomic scale using scanning tunneling spectroscopy at lowest temperatures. The goal is to reveal fundamental aspects of the interactions between single atomic impurities and their environment as well as the tunneling process itself, including, but not limited to magnetic impurities on metallic and superconducting substrates.
