By Car: At Autobahnkreuz Stuttgart (the Stuttgart motorway interchange, exit 51, Vaihingen). Take the A831, direction «Stuttgart-Mitte». Leave at the «Universität» exit. At the traffic lights on the bridge, turn left, direction «Universität». Follow Universitätsstraße, then turn right into Nobelstraße. At the end of Nobelstraße (roundabout), turn right into Büsnauer Straße (first exit).
Public transport from Stuttgart Main Station: Take lines S1, S2 or S3 of the Underground («S-Bahn»), in the direction of «Herrenberg» or «Flughafen». Get off at Vaihingen. Change to bus line 81 (direction «Büsnau») and get off at «Max-Planck-Institute».
At Vaihingen station you can also take a taxi to the «Max-Planck-Institute»).
