Flash vacuum pyrolysis (FVP)

The FVP technique consists in exposing precursor molecules to short thermal shocks at high temperatures.





FVP apparatus. Nitrogen flow and pressure in the system can be tuned independently by flow and pressure regulators (EV 016 DOS AB, Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum). The different parts of the injector are labeled in differen colors. Nitrogen flows in the interspace between green and gray tubes. The product trap is cooled by water. The second trap is used to protect the vacuum pump.
